The position is limited to two years with the option of becoming permanent and is part-time (50%, 20 hours per week).
To support our communications team, we are looking for a Communications Manager – Editorial & Media Relations (gn*) in Hamburg as soon as possible on a part-time basis (20 hours/week).
Your Responsibilities
You will shape KLU's communications across all relevant external and internal channels at a leading international business school with campuses in Hamburg, Saigon/Vietnam, and soon also Africa and Latin America. You will work closely with colleagues from administration and research and be part of a small international team that supports and represents each other.
- Press and media relations: identifying topics, story pitches, press releases, maintaining contacts with journalists and the media, placing content in our target media
- Strategic and operational support for the external positioning of the KLU president (podcasts, interviews, events, guest contributions, thought leadership)
- Establishing and maintaining internal communication (intranet, etc.)
- Producing content (text, images, audio) for our communication channels (e.g., newsroom, blogs, newsletters)
- Advising university members on communication issues
- Coordinating external service providers
- Willingness to occasionally provide editorial support for evening and weekend events
