Die Stelle ist befristet auf 2 Jahre mit Option auf Entfristung und in Teilzeit (50%, 20 Wochenstunden) zu besetzen.

Zur Unterstützung unseres Communications-Teams suchen wir in Hamburg baldmöglichst eine/n Kommunikationsmanager:in – Redaktion & Medienarbeit (gn*) in Teilzeit (20 Stunden/Woche).

Aufgaben

Du gestaltest die Kommunikation der KLU über alle relevanten externen und internen Kanäle in einer führenden internationalen Business School mit Campus in Hamburg, Saigon/Vietnam und künftig auch Afrika und Lateinamerika. Dabei arbeitest Du eng mit Kolleg:innen aus Verwaltung und Forschung zusammen und bist Teil eines kleinen internationalen Teams, das sich gegenseitig unterstützt und vertritt.

Presse- und Medienarbeit: Themenfindung, Story-Pitches, Pressemitteilungen, Kontaktpflege zu Journalist:innen und Medien, Platzierung von Inhalten in unseren Ziel-Medien
Strategische und operative Unterstützung bei der externen Positionierung des KLU-Präsidenten (Podcasts, Interviews, Events, Gastbeiträge, Thought Leadership)
Aufbau und Pflege der internen Kommunikation (Intranet etc.)
Produktion von Content (Text, Bild, Ton) für unsere Kommunikationskanäle (z. B. Newsroom, Blogs, Newsletter)
Beratung von Hochschulmitgliedern in Kommunikationsfragen
Koordination externer Dienstleister
Bereitschaft zur gelegentlichen redaktionellen Begleitung von Abend- und Wochenendveranstaltungen

Profil

Mindestens 2 Jahre relevante Berufserfahrung in Kommunikation, Redaktion, PR, Journalismus oder vergleichbaren Bereichen
Talent zum Schreiben, sehr gutes Sprachgefühl und stilsichere ausgezeichnete Englisch- und Deutschkenntnisse
Ausgeprägtes redaktionelles Urteilsvermögen und Gespür für Themen, Tonalitäten und Zielgruppen
Freude an Pressearbeit und aktiver Positionierung von Personen und Themen, wünschenswert: Netzwerk relevanter Medienkontakte
Souveränes Auftreten, proaktives Vorgehen und hohes Maß an Ownership und hands-on-Mentalität
Lust auf vertrauensvolle Zusammenarbeit im Team, inkl. gegenseitiger Vertretung bei Projekten und Formaten

We are seeking for

The position is limited to two years with the option of becoming permanent and is part-time (50%, 20 hours per week).

To support our communications team, we are looking for a Communications Manager – Editorial & Media Relations (gn*) in Hamburg as soon as possible on a part-time basis (20 hours/week).

Your Responsibilities

You will shape KLU's communications across all relevant external and internal channels at a leading international business school with campuses in Hamburg, Saigon/Vietnam, and soon also Africa and Latin America. You will work closely with colleagues from administration and research and be part of a small international team that supports and represents each other.

Press and media relations: identifying topics, story pitches, press releases, maintaining contacts with journalists and the media, placing content in our target media
Strategic and operational support for the external positioning of the KLU president (podcasts, interviews, events, guest contributions, thought leadership)
Establishing and maintaining internal communication (intranet, etc.)
Producing content (text, images, audio) for our communication channels (e.g., newsroom, blogs, newsletters)
Advising university members on communication issues
Coordinating external service providers
Willingness to occasionally provide editorial support for evening and weekend events

Your qualifications

At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in communications, editing, PR, journalism, or comparable fields
Talent for writing, excellent command of language, and excellent English and German skills
Strong editorial judgment and a keen sense for topics, tones, and target groups
Enjoyment of press relations and actively positioning people and topics; desirable: network of relevant media contacts
Confident manner, proactive approach, and a high degree of ownership and hands-on mentality
Desire for trusting teamwork, including mutual representation in projects and formats
