Project Manager – Community Building & Stakeholder Engagement (gn*)

Temporary, Full-time · Großer Grasbrook 17, 20457 Hamburg

We are seeking for
Location: Hamburg, Germany (with flexible remote options)
Institution: Kühne Logistics University (KLU)
Initially limited to two years

Help shape the future of KLU as a collaborative ecosystem for innovation and impact.
At Kühne Logistics University (KLU), we’re committed to amplifying our social impact by building stronger bridges between academia, industry, and society. By leveraging our strengths in logistics and management, we create spaces for meaningful exchange, innovation, and long-term value creation across diverse communities.
As part of this mission, we’re launching a new initiative: Community Circles—theme-based networks that connect and empower stakeholders such as alumni, students, researchers, and external partners.

This is where you come in.
We’re looking for a creative and entrepreneurial Project Manager who’s excited to co-create and lead this initiative. You’ll help shape the vision, design the framework for our Community Circles, and cultivate vibrant, self-organized communities. You’ll collaborate with colleagues from across KLU—including our Green Office, AI Working Group, and Entrepreneurship & Innovation Hub—as well as our Alumni Relations Manager and Events Team to build strong relationships and engaging content.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys taking ownership, thrives in dynamic environments, and wants to make a real difference.
Your Responsibilities
  • Build & Develop: Create the structures and processes that support a thriving, collaborative community culture.
  • Empower Facilitators: Onboard, train, and support colleagues in leading their own Community Circles.
  • Foster Engagement: Design an environment that motivates participation and celebrates contributions.
  • Connect & Communicate: Facilitate communication across circles, connect stakeholders, and integrate the initiative into KLU’s broader strategy.
  • Learn & Evolve: Define success metrics, document insights, and continuously improve the program based on feedback and new ideas.
Your qualifications
You don’t need to have all the answers—but you do need the curiosity, courage, and drive to explore what’s possible. We’re looking for someone who brings energy, creativity, and a genuine passion for people and ideas.

  • You think entrepreneurially and enjoy turning ideas into action.
  • You’ve had hands-on experience building or supporting communities and love empowering others.
  • You’re comfortable designing frameworks and processes that help people collaborate and self-organize.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently—whether with students, faculty, or external partners.
  • You care about making an impact and are always looking for ways to improve.
  • You present your ideas with clarity and conviction, while staying open to feedback and new perspectives.
  • You’re fluent in German and English.
We offer
  • A meaningful role with plenty of creative freedom and real impact
  • A dedicated, open-minded team and short decision-making paths
  • Flexible working hours and the option to work remotely
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Corporate Benefits
